Wonderful Concert by Marine Corp Bank of New Orleans

Concert Update:  The Marine Corp Band of New Orleans put on quite a show last night … it truly was fabulous music!  Varying composers were represented plus a few marches and patriotic selections – the talent is just unbelievable.  The dedication to their craft AND to our country was very humbling.  Different groups of musicians conducted workshops at both NWCC and Senatobia High during the day – their positive impact in all ways will be long-lasting, I’m sure.  Such a gracious group of young people and their conductors --- SA had made arrangements for their private reception at AC’s Steakhouse in Hernando and it was an honor for us to host them.  AND they want to come back next year, possibly for a concert in the park J  Our total cost was under $900 and I assure each of you this must rate as one of our most impressive projects.   Special thanks to Jean Nunnally, Sharon Williams, Julie and William Correro, Philip Correro and Betty Smith and Bob and Cheryl Thompson for their presence at the concert and AC’s – it was great fun and a rewarding experience.

Sorry we have been inactive!

I put this blog up and then promptly forgot how to access it.  I finally figured out how to get it up and running again.  I apologize to all that it is not more current.  I will be working on that over the next couple of days.  Be patient.

We have many fun and exciting things planned for Sycamore Arts this year.
